A salon history...
Alex Mekki opened its doors in Nov of 1994. The salon owner Sam Mekki dedicated the salon to the memory of her highly respected hairdressing uncle in America - Alex. Sam's uncle, Alex Doyle styled the hairs of the celebrity select of Hollywood, including such stars as Goldie Hawn and won North American Hairdresser of the Year.
Together with her married name of Mekki and her mentors name Alex - Alex Mekki was created.
Alex Mekki has grown to be one of the most innovative, successful and professional salons in N.I. Our city centre salon has a buzzing and intoxicating atmosphere that puts the clients at the centre - literally! The illuminated coffee bar that runs through the salon allows clients to integrate fully into the salon. The salon decor gels industrial materials with raw and natural woods that gives the salon an inviting and unisex feel.
Our relaxed, friendly and professional attitude has helped make Alex Mekki a firm favourite with a busy and loyal clientele. We’re the city centre salon with a local feel, unpretentious, giving that extra personal touch.
