Before opening Alex Mekki, Sam spent her early training days in top hair studios in London learning from the best around, this included Toni and Guy. Then she made the move to the world of hair extensions, working in the top extensions style house Antenna. Here she dressed the tresses of such celebs as Terence Trent D’Arby, Alison Moyet and Jamiroquai.
She returned to Northern Ireland to open Alex Mekki in Nov 1994. Without the luxury of having her own N.I. clientele Sam’s savvy and refreshing approach helped her quickly build the Belfast salon from the ground up to the flourishing business it is today.Sam’s expertise in the field of hair extensions cements Alex Mekki’s reputation as Irelands leading hair extensions salon. As a hair extensions educator she travels the country teaching hair extensions to other salons nationwide.
Sam's commitment and focus to bring new innovative products and services to her clients led her to the Kemon Brand. Through working with this brand the company Kemon quickly became aware of Sam's passion for hair. She was approached to become the Kemon ambassador and educator for Northern Ireland. With this prestigiuous appointment Sam can be seen on stage locally promoting and presenting the Kemon brand.
